I just came back from Taipei this morning. So much happened in the four days I was there for a music convention that I'm still kind of dazed. I got first honors for piano (only two get honors out of eighteen pianists), which is amazing, because I've never won anything for piano in my life. No one expected me to get it (expect maybe myself, after hearing the adjudicators' comments 
), which just adds to the amazingness. I think I have a knack for predicting things because after correctly predicting getting honors, I correctly predicted that I would fail during the festival concert, which was a hugely embarrassing and disappointing affair on my side. (It wasn't a disaster, really, but it wasn't the best I had done.) I cried for ages afterwards. I think I'm over it now. But I'm not sure. I hope I don't burst into tears when people ask me about it tomorrow.
It is not fun coming back to homework.
I didn't do any while I was in Taipei, and I didn't do any this evening.

So anyway, three weeks ago (exactly), I surfaced from a crap load of IB work to find out that I was featured by ~DailyLitDeviations (https://www.deviantart.com/dailylitdeviations) for Recrudescence! :dance: It made my day, it really did...I was just too lazy to make a journal about it because, well, I had more IB stuff to do. :faint: But now I am!

Almost Birthday
Two days until my birthday. Yippee.
Not really. I already got all my presents: money, a bag, a crystal bracelet...oh and I'm going to get a lipgloss from cullysushi (https://www.deviantart.com/cullysushi) when I get back. =P
Today we had a family dinner with my mom, my grandparents, my uncle and aunt and cousin. Of course, my mom missed the moment when I blew out the candles on the birthday cake because she couldn't handle the camera (even though I already set up everything for her so that all she had to do was to press the shutter button at the right time). Oh wow, that's such an amazing achievement! Music is much more competitive than most believe, so I'm glad that you did the perceived unexpected
